Kimberley Vacation Rentals News 26th January 08 Kimberley Alpine Resort To Lose Some Disabled Visitor Facilities Sunshine Chalet has started to remove some of its disabled facilities due to lack of use. We understand that the hot tub hoist which enabled guests with disabilities to make use of the chalets hot tub has already been removed. Next to go will be the open wet room and disabled facilities situated in the apartment on the lower ground floor. This apartment was specially designed to be used by disabled visitors has a ramp to the entrance and no steps, but despite Kimberley marketing itself as the "Disabled Person Ski Hill" Sunshine Chalets owners tell us that there is no demand for this type of facility on Kimberley Ski Hill and even though this is the only property of its type on the Kimberley Ski Hill there has been no demand for rentals by disabled skiers. the chalets main floor disabled friendly suite is also to be removed and replaced with a family suite and Sunshine Chalet will no longer market itself as being disabled friendly.
